I don't actually own a hedgie, I am just interested and curious about them.
So bit of a hypothetical, I'm aware Hedgehogs like to run and explore, so many owners supply running wheels to fulfil this need. I was wondering if you could produce the same results from some kind of running track, kind of like a maze. I understand it wouldn't be as practical as a wheel, I'm just wondering it if would be more or less (or equally) stimulating as the wheel. As for the track itself, this is the kind of path I thought would be quite stimulating for a hedge hog, as it gives the hog the option of running in circles or weaving about. track.png Please let me know your opinions. Thanks. |

There's a thread on the forum with cage set up examples and I'm sure I saw someone had built a maze. I like the idea and as long as it was built safely and securely, I think a hedgie would have fun. I think there would need to be some treats in there though otherwise I think it would just be frustrating.
