Default TWO things...NO THREE

ALRIGHT.. so I'm kinda lazy (too lazy to hit backspace more than like... four times. SOOO Here are the things I thought of while being on the bus AND some news and I want your honest in put.

FIRST: Kinda gross...Thinking about Napoleons wheel.. She HEAVILY poops on it and smushes it ALL over. I am giving her a foot bath every night to clean her Genital area because I thought of it and if she's running and resting on her wheel her genital area would probably rest in her poopy pee and a UTI would inevitably happen.

TWO: Instead of using paper towel (Have to keep buying it) or bedding (have to keep buying and it gets everywhere) I HAD SPARE SHEETS of about a foot long strips from the fleece I cut Napoleons and fuzzies cage for.. NOW I thought.. what the heck am I gonna do with these strips? they're too big to just disregard SOOO I ended up sewing an absorbent layer in between two pieces and BAYUM... LITTER LINER FOR THE WIN.

THREE: You know how Petcetera and I get along (That's where I got Napoleon from) For all of you who don't... well here's a quick read for you to give you an idea.

Aaaaanyways, As I was writing this they called me an ACTUALLY WANTED TO GIVE ME AN INTERVIEW... Now this is where I want your guys' opinion. there are pros and CONs of course. Like they aren't very knowledgeable and I shouldn't support what they have been doing. But there's also the other side that I could EDUCATE them and make whatever animals are in there COMFORTABLE. Especially if other hedgehogs come into the store! so here's where I want all of your HONEST TO HEDGIE OPINIONS.

I'm inclined to say do the interview and educate them. If they don't interview you, are they going to stop selling or dealing with hedgies? Probably not, so at least they can be better informed and pass that on to prospective owners. Also, maybe they will become more selective on where they get thier stock from.

The ripple effect if you will.

Good Luck!

CAPTAIN: It's a small, spiky mammal.
CRONE: No... that's a hedgehog!
CAPTAIN: In that case we wish to engage you in ships cook and hedgehog.

I agree with v2neal completely. We have one pet store in town, privately owned. Jamie gets all his fish stuff there and knows the owner quite well. I guess he was telling the owner that I said something about the hedgies...the guy said he had no idea until Jamie told him what I said (really, I was much more colorful in my 'observations' but Jamie thought it best *I* didn't go in and talk to him) that they have different needs than the ferrets, for example, and he's going to stop selling them and will only do special orders and will only buy from breeders now.

You go, girl.

I used to work for a petcetera back when i was 16. I went in there only knowing some information about hedgehogs other small animals and dogs. After working in their animal department and reading about everything.. I was able to give out information about fish cats small animals bird and cats. They might not know stuff about some animals but more on others. I was able to teach them about stuff i knew and vice versa. So if i were you go ahead and give your best imput and do the interview
