Question Help help help lost hedgie....

We lost our hedgie.... we found him, but he is under the kitchen cabinet and won't come out.... we put out a bowl of his favorite food, water and a water bottle he used to use... he does not like mealworms...

What else do hedgies love the SMELL of so I can draw him out... if not I will have to have my hubby drill a big hole, not my first choice...

How long will he go without water... he has been stubborn for 14 hours now....

Any info would be helpful... thanks

Do you have a meter stick or a broom handle that can fit underneath? While not ideal, you may be able to force him out with a bit of a nudge!

Also, you could try leaving his food and water and wheel out, and monitor it and snag him when he comes out! He may just still be sleeping, or hiding out because he knows you're there waiting for him to come out!

Have you tried turning out the lights so its dark in there and the sitting very still until he comes out?
If he doesn't venture out in the dark, I would be worried that he may be stuck somehow.

Default Thank you... He came out...

no worse for wear... not sure what he was feeding on under there... at least we are a insecticide free home so that made me feel better.... he got a very long bath and happily snuggled up to me... he was surely scared...

How did you end up getting him out?
