Unhappy How to deal with Waiting-For-Hedgehog Anticipation?

So, I'm getting my first Hedgehog Thursday.

I've run into a problem though.

How do I deal with this anticipation!?

His cage is ready. I've been sleeping with this.. fleece blanket so he knows my smell..

When I -Can- Sleep! I've been so excited, I can't sleep but maybe 4 hours! If that!

How do you guys distract yourselves when the arrival day is approaching (But not fast enough!)?

I read. Read everything and anything I could get my hands on about hedgehogs. Kpet me occupied, anticipating the quirkiness of my hedgie & also the perk of getting tons of information

If the productive stuff doesn't do it for you and you like mind numbing games... Hedgewars.

Its like the old worms game and sadly, its addictive when you just want to numb your brain.

Thanks guys!

I'm working on trying to make some of those un-safe Cat balls Hedgie-safe..

Or creating new hedgie toys period. >)

My grandmother and I used to make these dog chew toys, and would tie fleece about them so they were fuzzy, and had dangly bits, but still safe for the dogs.

I'll take pictures if they come out like I'm hoping!

I looked up hedgie crafts & made several "yarn hedgies". I planned to give the breeder one, but didn't have it with me. (We were driving around & just wanted to find out where the breeder was & see what the hedgies were like in real life, before making the final decision to get one, but ended up meeting & falling in love & I never gave Cholla back)

Cut toilet-paper tubes along the side so hedgie can get it off his head. Decorate prescription bottles that have been washed/dried and child-safe capped. They can push them around.

Read read read about them. Randomly type in words to the Search field of this site and see what comes up.
