Default Hedgehogs in Connecticut

Hi there.. I have pretty much decided that i am GOING to get a hedgehog. Just one, and I have pretty much decided that I want a rescue.. I contacted someone in NY who had their hedgie on craigslist, but i'm not entirely confident that they will contact me back.. USUALLY people respond quickly when it has to do with rehoming an animal. I might guess that they already found him a home.

So i was just wondering, where would i get a rescue hedgie in CT? I contacted the hedgehog welfare society that is in CT, but I also have not gotten a response in 2 days.. They also said on their website that they have a waiting list and that they do not get hedgies in rescue as much anymore.

So i was wondering, are there states where the rescues are brimming and they need relief from out of state??

I don't know about "brimming," but the Detroit area Craigslist has hedgehogs on it on a pretty regular basis. I have a thread regarding SE Michigan hedgehogs in the Rescue section.

The lady who had our Brooklyn rescue didn't contact me for at least 3 weeks. It actually came to a surprise to me when she said "you were our first choice" because it took her so long! Hang in there, but I'll keep keeping an eye out for ya
