Default water dish or water bottle?

my female is 8 weeks old i bought her a bottle but she hasnt touched it and no water seems to be gone, except a few drips that hit the cage. would she be better with a small dish of water?

i emailed the breeder to see how she gave them water with no response yet.

This is why most here prefer water dishes over water bottles.
With bottles, many hedgies can't get enough water, and sometimes end up cutting their tongues from furiously licking at the nozzle, as well as chipping their teeth, trying to bite it to make more water come out.

Personally, I'd switch out the bottle and put in a dish. It's a much more natural drinking position.

If you do a search(located upper right corner) for water bottles, you will find many threads on people who use it, have used it, and the different cons.

I would get her a nice water dish that's low enough for her to acess it easily. My boy Basil was on a water bottle, but I switched him to a bowl as soon as I got him because of the risk of toungue and teeth injury associated with bottles. So, unless you've got some major moolah set aside for hedgie emergencies, I would spen three dollars and get her a dish (and maybe even a matching food bowl!). hard to tip ones are a plus.
