Light red blood after biting? How to prevent mouth sores?
Hi! I was giving my hedgie sliced up baby corn, I steamed it but was kept in the fridge for a while and I didn't reheat it anymore when I gave it to him. I noticed after his 4th slice that there was a bit of very light red blood on bitten corn, there wasn't a lot and the color was very light but I'm still worried, is this a cause for concern?
I'm worried because I've read that mouth issues are common with hedgies. If it was just from biting, is there any way I can prevent an oncoming mouth sore?
I checked his mouth/teeth, I didn't find anything worrying.
