Default TV sounds.

Hello everybody! I'm bringing my hedgie home tomorrow and I'm going to put him in my room. I quite frequently watch TV and play video games in my free time so I was wondering if, in his 1 day of private time, if i should leave the TV on at a low or so volume to get him sort of used to it or would that stress him out too much?

Also, one day is a good amount of private time to give him to help him sort of get adjusted. I know it won't be just one day, but maybe just after the first day like 5 minutes of play time out of cage, next day 10, so on +5...?

Thanks in advance!

With noise it depends on the hedgie. I got mine from a petstore and he was surrounded by noisy birds so he is used to loud sounds. You could have it at normal volume and see how he feels. I would recommend leaving him alone today and tomorrow start playing with him for at least 30 minutes. The more time the better. If he seems really stressed though then put him back.

If you want to aid in your hedgie getting used to you. Sleep with some fleece or something the hedgie can't end up hurting themselves with (like some cotton shirts, etc) and put it in the cage so it can get used to your scent.

Thanks. I'm just trying to make his life once he gets adjusted a little more used to normal sounds around the house!

Your welcome! It is good to keep the house the same. If it was always quiet then the hedgie would be used to silence and jump at any sound. Post pictures when you get him!
