Default Quilling?? or mites?

So nadia is around 11 weeks now and lately iv noticed shes been loosing A TON of quills and has dandruff/dry skin. She doest scratch or itch and any quills she looses has a ball at the end. Now, I understand all hedgehogs are open to mites but her bedding is all fleece. no wood. im assuming shes going through her final, if not first, quilling stage. I'v checked the dandruff that falls off and they arnt moving. it just looks like dead skin. If anyone could help me out or has seen this before please, any advice would help. thank you!

Sounds to me as if she is just quilling. Quills will have a small ball shaped "root" at the end of them. If her skin seems really irritated, you can always give her an oatmeal bath to help soften and moisturize her skin. I use Aveeno Oatmeal Baby shampoo, but you can also use plain oatmeal put into a sock and soaked in the bathwater.
