Default BITING! but not everyone?

So, I've had little Luna since February. She is an antsy little one that enjoys snuggling on occasion. She doesn't bite me and is pretty friendly (but nervous) with other people.
Now, about a month ago. I left Luna home in the care of my brother for 5 days - he changed her water and food daily, but that was the most of it. I came home and my girlfriend (whom Luna has met plennnty of times before hand and had no issues) gave Luna a friendly 'hello' and reached into her cage to allow her to sniff her. At that point, she snapped up and bit my girlfriend so hard that she started bleeding all over the place. It was so bazaar. Before this incident, Luna has only bit a two other times, but I believe it was because she smelled food on my hand one time, and i annoyed her for an extended period of time (accidentally) the other.
Ever since this incident, EVERY time my girlfriend goes anywhere near Luna, she automatically starts sniffing like crazy and bites her. I don't understand! She doesn't bite me or anyone else, just my girlfriend! EVERY TIME!
I feel bad because Luna was actually a gift for my girlfriend for Valentines Day. Luna just lives with me & I take care of her for the most part. I know that she probably isn't used to my girlfriend, but that doesnt explain her biting habit if she doesnt bite anyone else! I am leaving for the Police Academy for six months in a few weeks and Luna will be living with my Girlfriend during this time, but now she is afraid of her. Anyone know what I should do to make Luna a little more friendly with her? Anyone know why this could be happening?

Your girlfriend should try to be more involved if possible with Luna's care. My Emma started to be a little more saucey with my boyfriend when he started to decrease his interaction with her. ( she has always been a Momma's girl but was good with my bf initially ) He took over bath/cuddle time for a couple weeks and we also re-started simple bonding enhancement ( ie - he would sleep with one of her fleece blankets for a few nights then we would put that blanket in with her for about a week and rotate the blankets until she "smartened" up. He also became the source of treats. ) Just her scent in the cage and being the treat "giver" will hopefully help. And for handling for now I would encourage your girlfriend use a blanket or towel to pick up / hold Luna until she comes around a little more. Goodluck!

Forgot to mention to make sure your girlfriend is washing her hands well before handling with whatever soap you use. Any trace of something "nummy" on her hands ( ie - food or hand cream ) could also trigger a bite.

I forgot to mention.. she doesn't even get all huffy and puffy with her. For example, she could be holding her for 2/3 minutes and all of a sudden she'll start sniffing around and SNAP! its so weird. She always washes her hands before handling.
