Default odor

My family complanes that the area around Sammy's cage stinks. I clean the tray under the wheel daily. I have used bleach and water, vinegar and water, and Kage-Klean from the Hedgehog Supply place that advertises on this site. Nothing seems to cut the smell. It seems to be in the plastic of his wheel and the bottom of his cage. I change liners every third day. On the other days I just flip the liner over, but before I put it back in his cage I shake out the debris and let it air out a bit weather permitting. Sammy doesn't like the deodorizing wipes that the pet store uses. He starts annointing himself even if I rinse the wipe out quickly before I use it in the cage. I always let everything dry before I put him back in the cage.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Air purifier seems to be the most recommended I plan on buying a large one someday, but many people recommend this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hamilton-B...nator/16672675

Do you clean the wheel daily too?

It sounds like the plastics have absorbed the smell. Try using an enzymatic cleaner like Nature's Miracle (soak it in it). It should help a lot (I use it once a month, and I use it for my home for any organic messes).

what are you feeding her/him?

on my case i changed my kibbles to mixture of Royal Canin Adult Fit-32 and Katz-N-Flocken. my wife used to complain as well when I was using other kibbles.

just my experience. hope it helps.
