Default My new hedgehog has barely eaten in the last week??

I got my hedgehog, Zeke, just 6 day ago, and he has barely eaten or drunken! The first few days I understood that he was getting used to his new home, but now he is quite familiar with me and his cage, but still has no eaten! He may have eaten a kibble or two (I am feeding him Summit Indoor Cat Food that has 12% fat and 34% protein) and i put a few broken up mealworms next to his food bowl every day, but all he seems to be doing with them is pushing them around his cage or running over them! I cant see very much change in his water bowl level everyday. He nibbled a bit of scrambled egg 2 days ago but barely any. Pleas help!

I wouldn't worry so much about the mealworms as I would about kibble. I've had Pinball for a few weeks now and he still won't eat Mealworms.

As far as the kibble goes, is it the same kibble he was eating before you got him? Do you know what he was eating before you got him? I'll let some more experiences people answer but I think this factor may be helpful in determining or eliminating some possibilities.

Another thing you could do is try giving him a bit of wet cat food, or some baby food (sweet potatoes, peas, etc.) Don't over do it, but maybe you can stimulate his appetite. Another thing you could try feeding is bananas...
Good luck,

My newest little girl was reluctant to eat as well. I gave her a little bit of dark chicken meat and that stimulated her appetite enough to start in on a few bits of her kibble, too. Just make sure it's unseasoned. My guys will eat the white meat, but prefer the dark. Good luck, some hedgies do tend to be slow starters, though, when they are in a new home

I'm new as well and was concerned about tucker but have read they don't eat as much when quilling
Now that tucker is at the end of quilling he is really starting to eat drinking was the same but when I bathed him he would drink like crazy so I did clean water until he drank his fill first then put the oatmeal in
Figured out he hated his dish lol good to go now

If you have a small scale, you could weigh him every few days to make sure he's gaining.
