Default Hedgehog twitches after bath???

Hello, after my hedgehog takes a bath and I've wrapped him up in a towel, he starts to have these weird twitches. It happens once every couple seconds for about fifteen seconds. After it starts I'll try to move him around to get him to stop and he seems fine, so I don't think it's causing him any pain or anything. I read somewhere that these twitches are him calming down, but I'm not sure. I'd appreciate to hear it from someone who's experienced it as well

I can only speak to my experience. Mal is 4 months old and still does the 'hiccup' thing. She generally does it after a foot bath when I put her back in her fleece bag, or after she gets really comfy on my lap. Like you, what I've gathered from this forum is that a way to calm themselves down.

Okay thanks! I was just wondering if it's normal because for the first little while it was happening it was quite concerning! LOL thanks again

By twitching, do you mean it looks like they are almost hyperventilating? Reginald did that when he was younger and really stressed out.

No it's more of a hiccup, he looks fine, sniffing around and everything it's just these weird hiccups he doesn't even seem to notice LOL

He may be trying to get a little water out of his nose, but sometimes hedgies will do the 'ticking' (just what I call it) when they're happy. He might enjoy cuddling in the towel post-bath!
