Default How soon after bringing hedgie home can I bathe him?

Quick question. How soon after bringing a hedgie home can I bathe him? Pinball is 2 months old today, we've had him for a week. He's warmed up a lot to us. Doesn't huff and puff nearly as much anymore.

He does need a little feetsie bath though and his 2 of his toe nails look really long. I'd like to wash his feet and maybe clip those 2 toenails but I don't know if it's ok to do. I don't want to ruin the bond and trust that he's building with us, if that make sense....

I gave my oldest hog a bath within 40 minutes of bringing her home, and she's the most tolerant hog ever. :P

I don't think it would hurt anything to bathe him now, especially if you can get those nails.

I let my huffy girl run around in the bath the a while, then I can usually get her nails when she gets tired.

I just gave my hedgie a bath today! It's his third day home and he's only a six week old baby. His name is Sonic! Anyway, I found that he was being very active when I took him out of his cage today. He let me hold him in my bare hands without a glove or curling in a ball. I decided to try the bath since he was being really good! So my advice is to try to wait and see a day where your hedge is active and not rolling into his ball. I was worried I was going to have to try to clean a spike ball if he wouldn't come out lol
