Default Buying hedgehog in a week

Hi,
I just joined this forum and am going to buy an albino baby in about a week from a breeder in my local area. I was just wandering if there are any differences between "regular" hedgehogs and albinos other than the color? I also have a cat so I was wandering if I could just feed him that food. Its dry and meets the specs required but it also has hairball control, I don't know if that'll affect my hedgehog.
Thanks for the advice in advance. =)

There is no difference at all between an albino hedgie or any other. Honestly, being albino changes nothing about the animal or its personality, and that counts for any species. It depends on what youre feeding your cat, but if its a high quality brand there shouldn't be anything wrong with them sharing kibble.

Ahh okay thanks a lot! The food that I have is high quality (Science Diet) so I guess it'll work out. So excited, I can't wait. Is it more annoying to clean and have shavings as bedding or fleece?

science diet? a guy that lived in our yard used that for his cats ( we own a campground) and his cats were allergic to it so he gave it to us, what are the ingredients like? the bag he gave us was just crap?

Science Diet is actually not very good and I wouldn't consider it "high quality" at all. It tends to have fillers and byproducts. I wouldn't feed it to my hedgehog, or my cat for that matter (if I had a cat). This list should help you pick a good food for your hedgie:

Haha clearly I don't have a good a good vet... He said it was the best for my cat. But thanks for the heads up, I better show my vet to this forum. :P The lady said the albinos are really cute, I can't wait to see em!

There's a LOT of vets that say Science Diet is the best and frequently recommend it - it's because they get money for doing so. A vet in my area recommends it as well, and my family fed it to our cat for her whole life. Currently trying to figure out how best to mention that it's not great (especially for the price) to a neighbor who seems to have fallen into the same trap...sigh.

Got me hedgie. His name is Knuckles. He is awesome and was very quick at getting comfortable/warming up with me. But he is still a bit uneasy. Here he is :
