Default 365g at ~4 Months

So I am guessing I am feeding Taffy a little too much. We have had her for a month and I believe she is about 4 months old. When we first got her, she was about 291 grams, and a month later she is 365.

I think I have used kitten food a little bit longer than I should have, but is that weight OK? Should I be carefully weighing out her food every night or are they pretty good at not overeating?

Sounds like a normal weight, so unless you think she looks chubby, I wouldn't worry. If you have her on just kitten food, definitely start introducing a lower fat food now. The longer they're on high fat food exclusively, the harder it is to switch them to something in the normal fat range. While they're still growing it's fine, but when they stop growing and the extra calories aren't being put toward that, they can become overweight. Doesn't sound like your girl is overweight now, but a little foresight goes a long way when it comes to diet.

It's half kitten food, half Katezenflocken.

I don't think she necessarily looks fat -- just that she has grown so much!

And the fact that she mostly resembles a potato with quills.

They're like any baby animals - huge growth spurts. If you don't see extra fat around the armpits, under the chin, or below the "skirt" of the quills, she's fine. Sometimes they do get a potato shape as they fill out. The food sounds perfect - you could probably do with 3/4 Solid Gold at this point, because she's still growing at 4 months, but not at the same rate as younger babies.
