Default Food and behaviour

Hi all,

I saw a post on a Facebook group where someone asked what foods effect your hedgehogs behaviour as theirs gets the zoomies after having locusts.

Is there even a connection?

What foods effect your Hedghog and how?

Chicken/duck/turkey/lamb makes Holly a little devil and try bit off your fingers!

Grasshoppers made her less active and have green poo.

To be honest I've never really noticed anything else.

I’ve never paid attention either until i saw the post, now I’m curious of others experiences.

Looking at previous notes I’ve made I suspect crickets might be what makes Holly tick.

Investigate. Dont give her crickets then give it to her again and see what the outcome is. I'm totally gonna see how Holly is behaviour wise with different foods now

The only reaction Coco has to food is that she'll do little squeaks (we call it her giggles) while eating pretty much anything, but especially morio worms & eggs. The girl loves food, and just cant contain her happiness eating it haha.

She gets the zoomies if she finds a crinkle toy in the room. She's obsessed with anything that jingles or crinkles, and will push, drag & carry them all over. but she doesnt do it every single time - or at least I havent noticed.

So now I’ve tried different bugs to see what makes Holly tick I have concluded nothing, nothing pleases her except sleep!
