Default Help!!

Hi, I Have a female hedgie that gave birth 8 wks after giving birth.... The first litter of 6 all survived w me only having to supplement bottle feeding for one !! Now there are 6 more that are a week old, they all seem to be growing on schedule, but they squeak/whine all the time (the last litter did not) I am worried about mom's milk supply and if I should supplement some bottle feeding ?!?!?

My advice is to avoid artificial feeding for the time being. Because artificial feeding is complicated. If you do not have this kind of experience, it is easy to cause a baby metabolic problems, leading to its death.
You can add nutrition to a female hedgehog to increase her milk. For example, feed a high-protein diet with a small amount of glucose, calcium and other nutrients in its water. You can try to push the smallest hedgehog closer to its mother with a clean spoon to help it get milk more easily. If after you try these, the female does not nurse, you can try artificial feeding.
That's my opinion. I hope it helps you.

Add a bit of kitten food to the mom's mix to help boost her nutrition. The fact that they have survived the first week is a good sign. Do you know how mom ended up pregnant again?
