Default Hedgehog stays in one corner

Hi guys, I really need help. I have the weirdest problem. I got my hedgehog three days ago and he absolutely won't leave one corner of his cage. He's doing really well warming up to me and bonding when he's out of his cage and he isn't very timid, but when I put him in his cage he imediently goes to one corner. Originally his litter box was there so I moved his igloo to the corner and he still burrows behind his igloo to be in the absolute corner. I have lots of hiding places and stimulation in the cage, and I can't find anyone else who has had this problem. Please help!

What's the temperature in the cage? Is it totally dark at night? Does he come out at night? Does he have a wheel and if so does he use it? Is he eating and drinking?

Im not sure the exact temperature in his cage, I'm buying a thermometer tomorrow. I do have a heating pad in his cage but he seems to be avoiding it. I try setting him on the pad and he runs off of it right away. He does come out to eat, drink, poop, and run on his wheel but then he returns

A heating pad's not really adequate. You need to either heat the room he's in or use a CHE lamp in his cage to keep the air itself warm. Cold air and shortening daylight cycles are some of the cues they use to go into hibernation in the winter which you want to avoid at all costs.
