Default Hedgie getting too dirty on wheel

Okay, so I know that hedgies will use the bathroom while they run, and I really don't mind cleaning the wheel every morning. My concern though is that because my pokester only pees on her wheel and typically only poops there too, it's a flying feces machine and she is filthy every morning. If she just needed foot baths that would be fine, but I feel like she honestly needs a full bath every day or two. I've heard that bathing a hedgie too often can dry out their skin, which I don't want to do. But at the same time, it cant be good for her to just sit in that filth for days either.
As a side note, I also dont want to try a slatted wheel because their toes can catch. And my hedgie is fairly young (5 months) so she may grow out of it?
Any tips would be appreciated - anything to help me decide which is the lesser of the two evils.
