Default Off to school

Hi everyone I have recently gotten a one month old hedgehog named Phoenix! I love her to death and have been trying to get her for years. So my question is dose anyone have tips and tricks to taking her to class with you. I have read some of the posts on this matter and I’d just like to say please no angry rants I’m going to be bringing her either way all I’m looking for is tips for going to the bathroom and if I should bring food or not that sort of thing. I have brought her for the last two days and she had done great and slept though the hole thing. But I’d like some insures for people who have owned hedgehogs for longer than me. Thank you all

The best tip I can give is to not take her to class. Hedgehogs are nocturnal and need to be left alone during the day to sleep. Taking her to class is like someone waking you up right after you fell asleep and making you follow them around all night. In the long run it can cause serious health issues and also behaviour issues. If you want an animal to take to class get one that isn`t nocturnal

I honestly don’t think that’s a good idea, especially since she’s a baby. I’ve only ever brought Lily out of the house once, and it messed with her pattern so much she slept early and didn’t wheel much. Maybe the best you can do is limit her outside visits to once or twice a week (fewer would be better), some would say (and I agree wholeheartedly) that unless it’s really important, like a vet visit, then your baby doesn’t have to be out often.

In any case, how is the heat? How do you travel? Does she have a snuggle sack? All these are things you might want to take into consideration.
