My hedgehog of 2 years is not eating and is very weak. I tried giving him water through a syringe but he’s still weak. There’s foam at his mouth and he keeps opening and closing his mouth. I looked up why he keeps opening and closing his mouth and they said it’s having breathing difficulties. Please help me. I don’t want to lose him yet.
This is an emergency. When they are opening and closing their mouth to breathe it's called agonal breathing and it's a life and death emergency. You need to go to a vet now. I wouldn't bother calling for an appointment I would just show up at the door.
