Default Nail cutting

I picked up Higgs yesterday! Everything appears to be okay with him and the breeder said she gave him a bath before I picked him up. The only thing I noticed was that his nails are pretty long so I'll have to cut them. I was just wondering what I should be using to cut them?

It's up to your personal preference, really. Some people use baby fingernail clippers, some use regular nail clippers (I used these), some use cuticle scissors, or clippers designed for animals. Personally, I wouldn't suggest trying the small animal/cat clippers that are shaped like scissors, I think I remember reading that people who have tried them didn't have much success because hedgie nails are pretty flimsy and just bent instead of cutting.

I'd go with regular nail clippers. They're bigger so it's a bit easier to cut the nails compared to using baby nail clippers.
