Default Would you please chew with your mouth closed!

So things are going great with Avery. She is now almost 5 months old. She usually only poops on her wheel and loves to explore the living room. My only issue is how messy she is with her food. Its like she takes a mouthful of kibble and then runs around chewing it, leaving crumbs everywhere. It makes her cage look so messy. I try to clean it up everyday but its just everywhere. But the strange thing is every time Ive seen her eat she is standing in her food bowl and stays there until she is done. I started out typing this post looking for advice on how to prevent this but Im sure there is nothing so now it is just a little rant.

Hey! My hedgie does the same thing too.

He's almost 4 months old. He's neat, only poops in his wheel or litter bin. When I watch him eat early in the night, he eats at his bowl, drinks some water, and then wanders off. However, in the morning when I check up on him, it looks like there are cookie crumb trails all around his cage. It kind of acts like a visual indicator of where he likes to play at night. =)

Squiggy is good at leaving crumbs only around his bowl, but he has a semi-gross habit of standing in it to eat right after wheeling and hes got poop boots. Luckily his dish has a divider between his treats and kibble and he stands in the treat half.
