Default calm after oatmeal bath, shocked or happy?

So prinkles is 9 weeks old and started quilling, she has been a grump for a few days now.i gave her first bath today with the aveeno baby wash. Before i put her in the bath she was hissing and puffed up constantly and very un happy,i gave her the bath and afterward she change right away, she just laid completely still on the towel and stared at me and let me pet her without any attitude or huffyness for a long time.

My question is in your opinion was she calm after the bath from just being shocked by the water or is oatmeal bath that releaving? she changed her attitude completely within seconds once she was bathed wither way she seems much more comfortable.my bf was shocked at how friendly she was after the bath,it was like night and day,not sure why.any ideas?

The oatmeal bath can help a lot with the discomfort of quilling, because it softens the skin and temporarily relieves the pain of having the quills poking through. Some hedgehogs like baths, so if she wasn't throwing a fit or desperately scrambling to get out, that could be it. Archimedes has always liked the sound of running water, it makes him zone out. When he was quilling we would take him in the bathroom and just turn on the faucet and he seemed more relaxed and a lot less huffy - if not exactly pleasant - because of the sound.

Often the calm after the bath is like a sigh of relief that they have been rescued and are out of there.
