Default my baby (:

this is my baby Gus-Gus. He was born on February 18th and I brought him home two weeks ago one wednesday. He is still pretty jumpy with some people and poos EVERYWHERE but he is very kind with me. However, i'm scared for the day i have to cut his toe nails and he is not a fan of the bath tub, yet. i love him (:

Sophie gets a foot bath in the sink pretty much every other day and I give a nail check at the same time. Usually, no clips. If needed, just a couple of clips. This way clipping is never a big production, which is good for both of us. I'm so worried about cutting a whole toe off that I'm slow to pull the trigger. We're both getting a little better at it.

I use regular clippers, but the smallest size available. The bigger ones are much too hard to work with. (Some people use cuticle clippers.)

He's precious! Just keep bonding with him. Your first nail trimming will be scary - just because it's your first. Go slow, you don't have to do them all. It will get better.

He's adorable! It's helpful to have a friend help with nail clipping. After having Scribbles for two years and it still takes two of us to trim his nails. Oscar is more social so thankfully we don't have that problem with him

What do you have him in now? I have a 2X3 cubes and coroplast cage but this size might be a bit large for your dorm. A 2X2 might work well for you and be less expensive than purchasing a large enough cage from the pet store or online 2X2 should be enough room for him while he is a baby but I say build/buy as large as your room/wallet can handle

I live in a dorm and have a 2x2 C&C. It's perfect. She's a little hog, and sometimes I have a hard time believing that she's going to get any bigger, but right now it is all she needs and more. Maybe someday I'll build a little loft.

But anyways, a 2x2 is a great start because it doesn't take up too much room, and to add on you can always see if your hog will take to a 2nd level - allowing you to build up instead of out and taking up less floor space (:
