Default First time bathing hedgehog

Hi! I got my hedgehog as a Christmas present but the breeder I got her from told me not to bathe her until Spring. I was looking at other forum posts and they said I should be bathing her already. She is about 4 months old and I've had her since she was 7 weeks old. My house is heated and I have a heater in my room every time I go in my room I always make sure my room is the right temperature 75-80 degrees is right ? Do I have to wait until Spring or can I bathe her now ?

You don't have to wait, just make sure you dry it completely and don't put it back in the cage until it's completely dry and warm.

What's the temperature in the cage? So you have a thermostat for the heater and what's the light schedule?

The temperature in her cage is about 82 degrees. The light schedule? I leave the light off when I'm sleeping and I also use natural lighting since she's near my window.

82 is too hot for a hedgehog. The good range is between 74-78. For lighting, hedgehogs need 12-14 hours of light a day. Natural light is not enough. You can use a simple desk lamp on a timer.

Oh okay! Thank you Sorry, the breeder I got her from said 78-80 degrees was okay. So if my room and her cage is 75 degrees would be an appropriate temperature to bathe her in? I keep all the windows closed and my house is heated as well.

Do you have an accurate reading of the cage itself? Cage temperature and room temperature differs a bit.
