Exclamation First vet visit

I'm taking Stella to her first vet appointment tonight. Does this completely freak hedgies out? Will she poop green for days after this? What can I do to help her relax tonight?

The answer to all of your questions is: It depends on the hedgehog. Some are scared when they are at the vets, others are more curious and interested in the new place. I wouldn't expect green for a few days, most likely green while at the vets and maybe a green stool the evening after. It should correct itself quickly.

To help her relax, drive carefully, avoid sudden movements. I also avoid "show and tell" moments with them at the vets office. I don't like showing them off at the vet's office because often when I'm at the vet the hedgehog is not well, so they don't need the added excitement/stress.

Get the vet visit over with, and let her go back to bed for the rest of the day. If the day was particularly long, lots of tests, etc. let her sleep longer than usual, but otherwise, just get her up and resume your normal schedule.

Thanks..I appreciate. I made a night time appointment so she won't be disturbed during the day. It's just a well visit because she's new to us and I want to make sure she's all good.

She'll be fine. Try to not stress over her going. These little ones seem to feed off of our emotions.
