Default Climbing Hedgie

Hi everyone,

When I got my hedgie, I made a C&C cage with 6 inch walls and when I woke up she managed to climb up the wall and get stuck in between the cage and the coroplast. Is there anything I can do to make her stop? What can I do to my cage to prevent her from doing this again or prevent her from getting hurt? Thanks!

My C&C cages have coroplast covering the entire grids to prevent any climbing.

Just went to the store to buy more coroplast. Looks like I'll be fortifying the castle walls tonight :P

Does she have a wheel? Not always, but a great deal of time hedgies climb when they are bored and want to escape to a more fun place. Make a rock garden and hide mealworms and crickets around the cage at night and try different toys to keep her positvely active and out of trouble. Also give her a toilet paper roll if she doesn't have one, it will keep her busy for a long time.

She does have a wheel =) I made sure to get her a CSBW when I first got her and she runs in it for hours every night. I also have a bigger cardboard tube in that she can fit inside and sometimes she hides in that. I'll look into getting her some more toys or other things so she doesn't get bored. Thanks!
