Default Husband having running nose and coughing :(

Hey everyone! Long story short, my husband has respiratory issues and asthma from small animals but not our horses or dogs. I babysat my friends adult hedgehog for about ten days to see if we could get one. His owner had him in Aspen bedding so I kept him on that for the time we had him.

We hotbed our baby hedgehog ( 9 weeks old) last week. I have him on fleece and pine pellets in his litter box.
Any clue what it could be? Can it really be the pellets? He has no issues with the horses pine shavings. Or are baby hedgies more prone to dander? I gave him a bath today with the same Aveeno baby soap that the breeder had. I change his fleece every other day and spot clean the litter box each day and dump it every other day.
Any suggestions other then trying Aspen in the litter box?
Thank you!
