Default Worried about not hearing from breeder

So Iíve been emailing back and forth with Michelle at IwantAHedgehog.com and also slowly getting everything I needed. But then all of a sudden I stopped hearing back from the breeder. It was usually about two days before Iíd hear back but itís been three weeks since Iíve heard anything. Iíve also been told on a different post that sheís had two new litters since Iíve last heard from her. Iím worried because in the past when I try and plan something it usually ends up falling through due to things out of my control and I donít want getting a hedgehog to be one of those things. Anyone have any suggestions of what I should do? Iíve emailed her twice since I stopped hearing from her? I donít know what else to do.

Have you paid a deposit? All you can do is keep trying.

I haven't paid a deposit yet because it wasn't mentioned. We just discussed the sex/color preferences and when she was expecting litters.

Keep in mind that having 2 litters of hedgies could be taking up a lot of her time.

Do you feel like she is blowing you off? Or could it just be that she's busy? If it's been 3 weeks since you talked to her and she has 2 litters of hogs, it won't be too much longer until the babies start going to their homes. I would continue preparing for your future hog, and continue trying to get in touch with her. 3 weeks is quite a long time for her to not get back to you, but we never know what circumstances could cause that. I know you must be very excited and this has to be frustrating, but just hang in there and be consistent. You should try to get her phone number!

I'm not really sure if she is busy or blowing me off which is the main reason I posted this. I don't know what goes into breeding and how much time is dedicated to it. I'm hoping it's just because she is busy. I'm just going to continue setting everything up and hopefully I'll hear from her soon. If not, I I know there are other breeders that are somewhat close.

Me personally am a breeder and most breeders try to have two litters at once. They do take up time. But maybe she is out of town. Continue trying and see what happens I would also look into another breeder just in case.

I just responded to your post on Facebook. I'm really sorry, Michelle has been doing some big project at work and keeping up with hedgehog emails got put on the back burner. It's not a good excuse, but really, she's not blowing you off, I promise! The babies are getting bigger, and looking beautiful. I will threaten her with a quill in the foot ( ) or some other similar torture if she doesn't get back to you today!
