Shipping hedeghog questions

Question if a breeder ships the hedgehog does the person who breeds them come with the hedeghog? Like if i go to pick it up from the airport would the person be there to like give the papers and whatever else i would need from them? Cause all the breeders that are near me are 9-13 hours away so i wouldn't be able to drive there. Also do you think that shipping a hedeghog is a good idea or should i just wait until a hedegie shows up near me. I live in Canada btw

No, they take the hedgehog in a carrier to the airport and ship them that way. The buyer (you) would be responsible for any fees with shipping. You'd have to contact the actual breeder to get the details. You'd also need to find out what information would come with the hedgehog from the breeder.
Shipping has its issues. You have some seasonal restrictions, can't ship over or under a certain temperature. Not every breeder chooses to ship. Not every airport deals with it.
So the first step would be finding out what airport you would potentially get a hedgehog shipped into.

Your hedgehog would be shipped as live cargo. While there are breeders that ship with no issues it's something I refused to do when I was breeding and personally I would never buy a hedgehog that I had not seen in person before buying it. I once drove 3 days, one way, to purchase breeding stock so they wouldn't have to be shipped.
