Lightbulb Cage Lighting

Just wondering if christmas/ fairy lights along the top of the cage would be enough light for my hedgehog once DST/ the winter comes along? I'm a new owner and not sure how bright the light should be. I think fairy lights as well as a lamp on in my room would be enough but I just wanted to double check!

Usually he best thing to do is a desk lamp with a timer for 12 to 14 hours, even during summer since there are storms and dark days even in summer

Hi and welcome. So your question doesn't get lost, you need to start a new thread.

Hi ! I just got my hedgie as well. For his lighting I went out to target and bought a timer that you plug into the wall and got a LED light bulb, then went over to Goodwill and found a lamp, set the time and the times I want it on (it explains in the directions how it works) and plugged the lamp it. It's a little bright for me since I have it on from 7am-7pm, so it might wake you up, but it works great for him !
