Default Please help. Panic.

Please help! I am wondering if my Hedgie will be ok. My parents were watching him while I am in the hospital and they left today, so he has been at my house well cared for. They had to leave to go home today and someone who was watching him this afternoon kept the light on when they left instead of turning it off so he would have dark at night. His heater is on, so I am not worried about that, but I am so scared he will now have a problem since he light will be on all night there. Will he be okay?? I am retuening home tomorrow afternoon. I had a friend drive to my house to turn off the light, but now my garage key pad isn't working. I pray he will be okay whe. I get home tomorrow. At least I know he has heat, food, and water.

He has an igloo he uses but it is clear purple. He sleeps under it. I just hope he will be okay.

Well, I sleep with a small lamp on in my room and mine seems to not mind. He also has areas that are dark for him where he can hide. I dont think it is a huge problem but I would double check with the experts here

One night with the light on won't kill him. He should still come out to eat and drink quickly but he probably won't get much exercise. Make sure you go back to his usual light cycle right away though so he can get back to normal.

Yep. Just turn it off when you usually do and he'll be up when it's dark.

Okay thanks for all of the advice. I did his schedule per usual once I got home. He seems to be fine, but now I'm worried he has mites so he will be going to the vet on Tuesday.
