Default bathing hedgehog?

I bathed Zira tonight, she LOVED it! She was one happy hedgie After I took her out I wrapped her in a blanket and she fell fast asleep. I rubbed her for around an hour and she didn't huff, hiss or puff I used Aveeno Oatmeal baby body and hair wash and scrubbed her quills with a soft toothbrush. I'm almost sure she's quilling. I got poked but that was my fault, I scared her when I moved. Anyways, I was wondering how many times I can do this? Can I put her in water without the body and hair wash in it? Would that dry out her skin? She just gets so happy and I love it She's getting meal worms tomorrow, so excited to see how it turns out I hope she doesn't begin anointing with it

For my two I try not to give them a bath anymore than once a month, I do give foot baths and touch ups if they get messy though. One of my hedgies likes to get messy so there's a lot of times she ends up getting more. I use plain oatmeal but I do notice that anymore than once a month does seem to be drying, even with just water.

Hopefully someone will be a long who has a hedgie that enjoys the bath and swimming like yours and they will be able to say how many times they give one without it being drying

Aw, I'm so glad your hedgie likes baths! Pictures of this event would be great

Petunia freaks out in a bath. She scampers around and tries like mad to crawl up my arm. She also turns into a pooping machine!

LOL!! imagine 15 hedgehogs all getting baths at one time. You know how much poop there is?

We usually just scoop it out with a little cup and put it down the toilet, but if they all end up running around it just makes a mess, so we just drain and refill the tub hahaha!

I bought a net used to scoop small fish out of their tank. Izzy was getting a footbath today and when I saw her starting to poop, I put the net behind her bottom. I must have touched her because she stopped pooping and whipped around. I would be upset too if someone touched my bum during "personal time".

It works pretty good most of the time. I just figure 5 second rule.
