Post PLEASE READ. Never buy this type of home

I feel terrible. This is the type of home I had for yoshi http://www.drsfostersmith.com/images/Ca ... 9P_011.jpg

I thought it would be fine, thought the window was cute because I could peak through it. I never had any problems with it till tonight. I went to check on yoshi and I found him stuck in the window!!! It was so sad. His little body was turning purple from the circulation getting cut off I couldn't pull him out because of the direction of his quills, so I tried to keep gently pushing him forward. After about 20 minutes I was ready to give up and take it to the vet so they could take it apart, but then he some how slipped out. It was a terrible experience. It was so scary, it sounded like he was crying I feel so bad that I thought that home was safe. I never thought he would even try to crawl through such a tiny window, I thought he'd always use the door... ahhh I just needed to vent it out to people who care about hedgehogs

Awww poor Yoshi.. You didn't know that it wasn't a good house! As long as hes okay than thats the thing that matters and you've taken that forsaken house away from him and got rid of it or somthing. Cheer up. Yoshi still loves you

Hope he is ok! Another reason for not buying that house is it's made of wood and can easily harbor mites.

I'd really watch him walking if he lost circulation for that long of a time he might need to be checked out just in case

Yea I am watching him really close!! After it happened, I put him in the bath right away, because that's his favorite thing besides eating lol. He looks fine so far! Saw him running on his wheel and heard him eating before. Right now his house is a giant box of goldfish crackers lol. Just until I can get to the pet store for a plastic igloo!
