Default Fleecy Fuzzy Poop Boots???

Sorry, gross topic, but I have to ask. Since I have switched to fleece, I've noticed that when Rox gets poopie boots, she gets fleece fuzz stuck to them as well. Very hard to get off, even with a good soak/foot bath. Does this happen to anyone else? Just curious if there is any way (other than daily foot soaks, which will really make her MAD) to prevent this. Thanks!

Once new fleece is washed a few x it pretty much stops happening....I made Hazel like 5 sets of fleece cage set ups and was a pain in the butt for a while even tho I washed each after making them. After several washes tho no issue.

I'm glad others have had this problem because I was just wondering if that would ever stop when I was giving Felix a foot bath yesterday. His liners have only been washed once so far.

Whew! Awesome. Thanks for the replys. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with the fleece I bought, and my husband was having a fit. He was worried about her little feetsies.

I know Jo-Ann Fabric store sells and no pill fleece (saw it in the ad).... Its a fleece that doesn't get those lint ball like things (not sure what to call them)...... Maybe you could like trade off since the other fleece needs a few washes before it stops

This is interesting. I also use anti-pill fleece liners, have been using them since May, and Milly gets a fuzzy poop boot once in a while. The liners have been washed I don't even know how many times, but at least once a week for over 3 months. I just figured it was something that happened to every hedgie once a while. Usually if she has a fuzzy poop boot, I just use nail clippers or tweezers to grab the fuzz and pull it off.

I find that if Hazel "digs" at it say in the corner of snuggle bags even the no pill will fuzz up with enough abuse and after washing several x she is still able to do that
