If you don't handle them everyday then yes they will be anti-social, space from all I have read is never a bad thing for a hedgehog to have. However if you do choose to get more then one you will want to have separate cages. Housing two or more together can be disastrous even if sisters.

I know not to cage them together. I'm not even gunna try. My dad built a cage that has 16 square feet for a rabbit I use to have. I'd be easy to add on up to 3 levels above it.

As long as you handle frequently you shouldn't have problems with your hedgies "wilding up" like some other animals tend to do, especially since they are solitary and bond with you and not other animals.

My cage is 18 square feet, and my hog won a prize at her first (and only) show for being the nicest personality So...obviously cage space doesn't cause anti-social behaviour. She also is in the middle of learning to come when called

She has three places to hide usually, scattered over the space of the cage. I'd suggest with a cage this size, you want to be offering more than one hiding place, but also, make some use of the fact that you have space, let some be running space too!

Obviously, you need to be handling them every day, this is what manages sociality, not size of cage. Bodhi gets a cuddle during the day (when she sleeps), time spent outside her cage in a box to hunt live food, and then a third time out just before bed.
