Default First Picture of Yoshi

I just wanted to share my first picture of Yoshi with you guys I also have more questions (as usual lol)

1- A lot of quills are around the cage right now, so I am assuming he is quilling? He is 7 weeks old. Is that why he is kind of cranky when I touch him or try to pick him up?

Every time I want to play with him he is sleeping, I am on a 3rd shift schedule, so he should be awake when I am awake right?? His cage is a good temp. I am assuming it's just cause he is a baby and is sleeping a lot??

I don't think he is going on his wheel anymore. I only found poop on there once. His he just too sleepy ??

I am worried he doesn't like me cause he huffs a lot He doesn't curl up into a ball though, unless he is sleeping, then he is kind of curled up.

Quilling is likely check to be sure quills are coming in if you don't have any wood bedding or wood housing then its not likely to be mites.

Babies sleep and poop a lot thats about it oh and eat XD

If its only been a few days don't' worry about it also poop on a wheel isn't always a sign they are or are not wheeling its a positive sign but not definite. I am sure your hedgehog is wheeling but if you want sprinkle a small amount of flour on the wheel and see if its there in the morning :P

Your hedgehog is a prey animal its natural for it to huff and try to ward off something it thinks is a threat and some never fully stop that. Keep doing what your doing

Oh he is super cute!!

He sounds like a normal baby. They tend to sleep a lot. And don't let the huffs discourage you! Just keep doing what you're doing.
Very nice picture.

Eeeeeee! He is just SO cute! That picture is adorable - more please!

Everyone has given you good advice so far. Just keep in mind that he's a baby (they do sleep A LOT more than adults do) and he's trying to get adjusted to a brand new home. I'm sure in a little while he'll get more used to everything, his wheeling will improve, and he will start to huff less. Keep on doing exactly what you're doing already. Can't wait to hear more about him!
