Unhappy Hand feeding

I want to give Sonic a few bits of strawberry as a treat. I hope that's okay?
I've never had fed her for fear of being bitten, so how should I go about doing this?

Skin the Strawberry and leave a small sliver for her to try in a bowl in her cage and let her decide. While hand feeding can be cute some hedgehogs will begin to associate your hand as having food and search and bite thinking food should be there.

Sometimes it can take many attempts for a hedgehog to try new things and others will try any and everything so don't get discouraged if she doesn't try and always go with just one food at a time. This will help you see if your hedgehog has a reaction to the food.

Watermelon is one that always seems popular with hedgehogs.

Okay, I'll do that!
Also, I plan on getting watermelon next time we are at the store,
which thankfully I love watermelon myself!
