Lack of exercise:(

Hey guys! I'm a new user of the site and I'm super excited to meet other hedgehog owners.

So here's the deal, I got my hedgehog from my aunt as a birthday present last week. When she got her for me, the shop said they did not have any exercise wheel left and would call when they have them stocked up again (btw, I live in a small city next to Hong Kong, so it's difficult to find other pet shops) so now, my hedgehog is in a huge c&c cage with no exercise wheel, I'm just worried she's not getting enough movement. And also, when we finally get a wheel for her, would it be an easy thing for her to adapt? She is a little over 3 months now if that helps!

When I got my hedgehog it happend the same thing, I had him in a big c&c cage without wheel for a few days. I got him out of his cage everynight so he could run in my room and have some exercise.

When I got him the wheel he didn't know how to use it so I taught him, it took like 30 minutes for him to learn andnow he uses it alot (without my help). But all hedgehogs are different, some might learn faster and some might not. You just have to be patience.

My hedgehog didn't have a wheel for the first few months because the one we got was too small. We thought she just didn't like it, but after repeated attempts to escape to run free I thought otherwise, especially since her cage is 4x the recommended size. I got her a wheel about a month ago, and she climbed right on and figured it out right away. The only thing I did to help was put a treat in it so she would climb in. It was fun to watch her learn how to use it, she slipped off a few times before getting settled in

Oh! Great, at least I know it wouldn't be too late for her to learn, just ordered my wheel online should be here soon! Thank you so much guys x
