Default So this is my first post and our first hedgehog...

So I've been reading and reading and was hoping I could get some advice from those with experience.

We've had Jupiter for about 5 weeks she's almost 11 weeks and semhe seems very healthy:

1) when can we feed her treats other than her normal cat food?

2) we haven't given her a bath but when should we do the first one?

3) her back toe nails seem long but kind of scared to do so because I've read you can cut their toes quite easily when the are this young, is there any quick tips on how to do this for the first time?

Lastly she seems kind of touchy she can be very lovey snuggling and sleeping in our sweatshirts but also just aggressive huffing and trying to bite, could this just be quilling?

Thanks so much for any feedback!! This has been such a useful forum thus far!

1) You can start offering them now if you'd like. Just make sure it's only one new food at a time. You may have to offer things several times before she'll try them & she may not like much. Hedgies can be very picky!

2) Whenever she seems to need it! Usually hedgies aren't too messy, so if she doesn't need one, I wouldn't fuss about it.

3) This would be a good occasion for a bath - a lot of people find that it's easier to trim nails when the hedgie is in the bath because most won't ball up in the water.

Yup, I'm sure it's probably just quilling! She should be close to the last stage of it, so hopefully she'll calm down in a few weeks.

So last question the past two days she's randomly thrown up. It's clear with a very small amount of green in it. She's always playng when it happens, either in her toilet paper roll or just running around. Her pool is fine she has energy, just seems odd it's happen twice. Is she just getting dizzy? Just seems like she gets dizzy and spews a little
