Exclamation Gainesville, Fl - Need to rehome 2yr Female Hedgehog

Due to illness, I'm no longer able to care for my hedgehog and need to find her a new, permanent home.

Zuri is a 2 and a half year old female hedgehog, a bit on the smaller side. She is non-aggressive (doesn't bite or spike up) but is very skittish. She is handled once a day for 10 minutes (used to be an hour, before I became ill). She has never been bred and is not to be used for breeding. I'm looking for someone with experience dealing with shy hedgehogs, and who will be patient and provide her with a loving forever home.

She will come with her sterilite bin cage, silent spinner wheel, litter box (she is semi-litter trained), snuggle sack, water bottle, food and water bowls, and her remaining cat food.

She is in Gainesville, Florida (between Ocala and Jacksonville and about 2 hours from Orlando) and will need to be picked up from my house, as I have no means of transportation. Please have a cat carrier to safely transport her in.

Please only reply if you are an experienced hedgehog owner, can provide her with a forever home, and can come to pick her up.

Sorry to hear about your situation. You might want to contact the hedgehog welfare society to relinquish her, they will be able to find her a forever home.
